Towards Reconciliation
A Journey to Implement Social and Ecological Justice in Mathematics
By doing what I can to honour the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action 62 & 63. First I collect and share tools to help work towards:
1. Making age-appropriate curriculum on residential schools, Treaties, and Aboriginal peoples’ historical and contemporary contributions to Canada
2. Developing & implementing curriculum and learning resources on Aboriginal peoples in Canadian history, and the history and legacy of residential schools.
3. Sharing information and best practices on teaching curriculum related to residential schools and Aboriginal history.
4. Building learner capacity for intercultural understanding, empathy, and mutual respect.
